The first they ask for help your customers will have to launch a customized website (something like yourcompany.instanhousecall.com) and download the client, which they can save for later use. The client will connect to your server tool and you'll receive a desktop alert with the customer's call.
Once connection has been established you can actually remote control your customer's computer while chatting with them in real time, and help them solve any problem they may have. Though the connection is a bit slow (just as one would expect from a remote controlling app), it works perfectly well even through firewalls and Vista UAC system.
